Function overview
As an Event Manager at RDM Next, you are the person who ensures a flawless organization of various events. You are responsible for making quotes, drawing up scripts, arranging events from A to Z, managing inventory and staff planning, and maintaining contact with customers and suppliers. Together with your fellow event managers, you ensure that every event, large or small, is organized down to the last detail and exceeds the expectations of our customers.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Quotes and Preparation:
- Drawing up detailed quotations based on customer requirements.
- Providing administrative handling and follow-up of quotations.
- Manage the quotation process and ensure timely and accurate communication with customers.
2. Event Planning and Scripts:
- Drawing up comprehensive scripts for each event.
- Coordinating all aspects of the event, including catering, entertainment, technology, and logistics.
- Ensuring tight planning and flawless execution of events.
3. Execution of Events:
- Provide coordination and guidance during the event.
- Resolving any issues as the customer's point of contact and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- Managing and briefing catering staff and ensuring that house rules are observed.
- Closely monitor compliance with all safety and quality standards.
4. Administration and Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory and ensure timely ordering and replenishment of materials.
- Maintaining administrative processes, such as invoicing and budget management.
- Ensure accurate staff planning and task assignment.
5. Communication and Relationship Management:
- Maintaining contact with customers and suppliers to understand and meet their needs and expectations.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Act as the first point of contact for all parties involved before, during and after the event.

- Minimum HBO working and thinking level with excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar position within project management or event management is an advantage, this may also have been in an internship environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills. It is important that you work in an organized manner
- Proactive attitude and stress resistance, you can handle this well by nature, but you will also receive support in this
- Flexibility to work outside regular office hours if required.
- Experience with planning software and administrative systems.
