Team Building Package: Team outings and workshops in Rotterdam

The team building package offers an original and inspiring team outing at RDM Next in Rotterdam. During this program you will be introduced to new technologies that are being developed at a historic location: RDM Rotterdam. You can immediately use this when building a Rube Goldberg machine and visually programming driving robots. The team building package is suitable for your entire team, even without prior knowledge of technology.

Guided tour and introduction to digitization

During the tour of the Innovation Dock you will become acquainted with the history of the Rotterdam Dry Dock Company and RDM Rotterdam as an innovation location. You walk among the companies that develop in a historic location in the areas of robotics, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, drones and IoT. The intro to digitalization provides a brief update on these technologies: How do they work, why are they important, what is the current status in development and perhaps most importantly: How do you apply them yourself? At the end of the tour + intro to digitalization, you will be completely refreshed and you will see the opportunities for yourself.

Rube Goldberg or Robot Race

During the Rube Goldberg workshop you and your company or team will fight for the same goal: building a chain reaction of marbles, PVC pipes and dominoes. What we add to this at RDM Next in Rotterdam are digital components such as driving robots and IoT sensors. When the chain reaction ends successfully (for example with a photo being taken, an email being sent or the champagne being uncorked), you have completed the challenge as a team.

More about Rube Goldberg

At the Robot Workshop we will work with Mbot from Makeblock. This allows you to program your own robot with a small team to race against the clock and your colleagues. The challenge is to finish a self-taped race track, and of course in the fastest time of the day. Book this workshop if you want an introduction to Robotics and want to get acquainted with programming in a visual way.

All RDM Next workshops are suitable for everyone. Because we think it is important that everyone can get to grips with new developments, we provide a practical and entertaining approach. By offering different levels of depth, we ensure that the workshops remain interesting for everyone.

The standard team building package is suitable for groups of 5 to 20 (robot race) or 60 (Rube Goldberg) people. Do you want to come with a larger group? Please contact us.
